A Moment of Gratitude
The government shutdown hit our community hard—I know many of you felt it firsthand. But amid the difficulty, I watched something beautiful unfold: neighbors helping neighbors. Local businesses stepping up. Strangers becoming friends.
The kindness I witnessed reminded me why Clarksville matters to us. We show up for each other.
Speaking of showing up—thank you to every soldier who tracked me down last week to wish this Marine a happy 250th birthday. Yes, I take it more seriously than my own. Yes, I'm still celebrating. And yes, being a Marine in an Army town keeps life interesting.
Veterans Day gave my wife and me a chance to slip away to Chattanooga for a few days. (Rock City is worth the drive, by the way.) But it also gave me time to reflect on the service members who make this community what it is—past and present.
That gratitude isn't just for November. It's what drives this newsletter.
Let's dive into what's happening in Clarksville this week.
