Home Prices Around Clarksville: Where They're Going Up and Down

Home prices across the Clarksville area have shown mixed results this year, reflecting changing market conditions.

While the national median home value rose just 0.1% to $362,117 in October, several nearby towns outpaced that growth despite higher mortgage rates slowing things elsewhere.

Crofton, Pembroke, Gracey, Hopkinsville, and Cerulean in Kentucky all posted significant gains, with Crofton leading at an 8.0% increase for an average home value of $247,506.

By contrast, Clarksville itself saw a minor 0.4% dip, bringing its median value to $316,994.

Some surrounding Tennessee towns, like Cumberland City, Stewart, and Dover, also experienced slight declines.

However, a longer-term view reveals most local areas have benefited from robust five-year growth, including Clarksville’s 44.7% surge since 2019.

For buyers and sellers alike, understanding these trends provides a clearer picture of what to expect in the evolving local housing market.

Fort Campbell Being Considered for New Clean Energy Technology

Fort Campbell has been selected as one of nine U.S. Army bases under consideration for the innovative Janus Program, which could bring a small nuclear microreactor to the region.

These advanced microreactors promise clean, reliable energy directly on base, increasing resilience in case of power grid failures—a crucial advantage for military readiness and national defense.

The Army, in collaboration with the Defense Innovation Unit, aims to partner with commercial reactor builders for this next-generation technology.

Fort Campbell’s selection was based on detailed reviews of each base’s energy needs, infrastructure, and environmental factors, alongside major installations like Fort Bragg and Fort Hood.

Local leaders and Army officials, including Jordan Gillis and Dr. Jeff Waksman, emphasize the reactors’ safety-focused design and the effort to involve community voices as planning moves forward.

This development could bring cutting-edge energy solutions to the Clarksville area, supporting both military strength and sustainable power.
